A Race Against Blindness is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting research and sourcing treatment for children losing their eyesight due to retinitis pigmentosa (RP) and Bardet-Biedl Syndrome (BBS). Upon diagnosis of our young son, Luke, we began our quest for a cure and launched into advocacy efforts within the BBS community. We have since found that cure (!) in the form of a clinical trial on the verge of launching, but only when funding is secured. Our hope is to donate $1 million to propel this sight-saving clinical trial that could launch as early as late 2024 and help thousands of children. 🧡
