For the third time, the winner of this fundraiser designs the van. The prize is an adventure-ready Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 170 in Tenorite Gray with the exterior upgrades already done, a $125,000 Rossmönster Vans build budget to create the interior around the winner's own life, and $50,000 cash.
Two winners who already did this
Sabrina H. from Florida won the 2nd Chance Dream Van in December 2024, built it with Rossmönster and is living in it. Rachael M. from Colorado won Dream Build Van #2 in July 2025; her build is in progress. Their Winner Day videos are on YouTube: Sabrina and Rachael.
The FFB collaboration
RAB hosts and runs this fundraiser. After it closes, RAB grants funds to the Foundation Fighting Blindness. FFB does not fund or administer it. October is Blindness Awareness Month; expect more mission content than usual in our emails and on this blog.
Accessibility
The build is custom, so the winner can raise accessibility needs with Rossmönster. We do not have a mobility partner and do not promise specific adaptive equipment; we will explore what the build and budget allow.

Flown to Arizona
Vehicle winners are flown to Arizona for Winner Day to pick up the prize and meet our family. Winners who choose the cash alternative meet us by video.
Why we race
A Race Against Blindness is a family-founded 501(c)(3). It began with Luke's diagnosis of Bardet-Biedl syndrome (BBS). Today it funds rare-disease research and gene-agnostic therapies for children losing their sight to inherited retinal diseases.
