Sam W. from Michigan won the SEMA Land Cruiser and $25,000 cash in a fundraiser that ran only ten days, March 27 to April 5, 2026.

What this fundraiser was

This was the third Second Chance in a row. Three winners before it chose cash, which left three vehicles with us, and this Land Cruiser was the last of them. The build was featured at the 2025 SEMA Show in Las Vegas and was put together by Right Toyota, Westcott Designs, Doetsch Off-Road, Toyo Tires, Mudify, Black Rhino Wheels, Dissent Off-Road, Inspired Overland, Rigid Industries, NYTOP USA, Rough Country and Kammok with the overland crowd in mind: it is meant to be driven somewhere far, not parked. The original Land Cruiser fundraiser closed January 18, 2026, and that winner, Claudia C. from California, chose the cash alternative, which is why this one existed.

The announcement

A neutral third-party sweepstakes administrator drew the winner at random after the entry period closed. We confirmed eligibility, then called Sam live on Instagram and Facebook.

Winner Day

Sam flew to Arizona to pick up the Land Cruiser. The pickup is on YouTube.

How every winner is chosen

Enter for a chance to win. You can enter every RAB fundraiser for free. If you choose to donate, your donation funds sight-saving research.

  1. Neutral administrator

A neutral third-party sweepstakes administrator runs every drawing. RAB does not pick winners.

  2. Random drawing

After the entry period closes, the winner is drawn at random from all eligible entries.

  3. Announced live

We call the winner live on Instagram and Facebook, so anyone can watch it happen.

  4. Flown to Arizona

Vehicle winners are flown to Arizona for Winner Day to pick up the prize and meet our family. Winners who choose the cash alternative meet us by video.

A father and two children laugh together on a living-room couch, wearing matching RAB shirts.

Why we race

A Race Against Blindness is a family-founded 501(c)(3). It began with Luke's diagnosis of Bardet-Biedl syndrome (BBS). Today it funds rare-disease research and gene-agnostic therapies for children losing their sight to inherited retinal diseases.

$6.1 million

in research grants, fully paid out

$5.1 million

of that to the Axovia BBS1 gene-therapy clinical trial
